The spirit of unity and love for God’s creation illuminated Christian communities this Season of Creation. From the coasts of Hawaii to the coasts of New Zealand, from a street settlement in Fiji to bustling central London, people around the world walked together in prayer and action to protect our common home. We invite you to watch the video below for a recap of this year’s celebration.
This year’s Season of Creation inspired over 650 events across six continents and 68 countries. The theme for this year, Walking Together, came to life in celebrations as diverse as their communities. Retreats and prayer services sparked meaningful conversations about our common home. Sustainability projects opened opportunities to protect God’s lands and waters. Climate marches and pilgrimages lifted up faithful witness in the public sphere. In every event, the presence of God helped the faithful join together as one.
Volunteers hosted events from Kansas to Kampala, Kent to Karachi. These event hosts and all the people who participated in events are a blessing. Let us continue to celebrate the Season of Creation in our lives, walking together in prayer and action for our shared planet, our common home.
