Educational event in Buenos Aires

The future of our common home looked bright as the Season of Creation was celebrated in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Play centers in Bancalari and San Jorge hosted events for children, with the theme “The Earth, Our Common Home.”
In these events, underserved children learned about the importance of caring for creation, which has been given to us as a gift by our Creator. The children were invited to draw pictures of Mother Earth, and the spirit of the season was beautifully expressed in the words of one young artist who wrote, “We care for what is ours.”
Scripture says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Let us continue to use the Season of Creation as an opportunity to leave a legacy of peace, justice, and care for creation among the young. Let us also pray that we may always see the blessing of creation through the eyes of a child–with hope, humility, and wonder.

We care for what is ours
