For the Life of the River – prayer walk along Te Awakairangi/Hutt River

A prayer walk along Te Awakairangi from Upper Hutt to the Harbour at Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington in Aotearoa New Zealand. A day-long journey in 9 stages with prayer and song at the beginning of each stage. Join for as long or short a time as you wish. Walk, cycle, skateboard, wheelchair. Join us virtually to pray online. This journey is to give thanks for the River that flows through our Valley, and express our hopes, dreams and prayers for the river and her people.
Mass at 8am at Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt. Depart Harcourt Park 9am. Arrives Petone Foreshore (opposite Jessie St) about 5.15/5.30 for closing prayer.
