Our Planet, Our Responsibility: Localizing UN SDGs towards the Care of Creation

Adopted by all UN member States in 2015, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlines a roadmap to peace and prosperity for people and the planet by 2030 thru elimination of poverty, improvement of health and education, reduction of inequality, and spurring economic growth, while addressing climate change and protecting oceans and forests. In consonance with the Laudato Si Campaign, this webinar focuses on local initiatives and practices of SNAF partners from the government, church and other sectors around the themes of preserving ecology and tackling climate change. In particular, it highlights the approval by the Cebu City Council of a resolution to establish the “UNSDG Council” and how it could serve as the contextual nexus of various ecology-centered projects and efforts.
