Faith and Laudato Si’ are Connected

Goal is to raise awareness in the parish of the integral connection between our faith and living Laudato Si’
At each Sunday Mass during the Season of Creation the focus will begin with the entrance hymn, Canticle of the Sun, two verses each week.
The Sunday bulletin will provide a weekly reflection linking a theme from Laudato Si’ and ways of living out the focus of the week.
The underlying theme is to focus on a view of God’s act of creation and our place in this creation, and the interconnectedness of all.
The goal is to see the care and responsibility we share with all creation in sustaining our planet for generations to come. Our faith, Catholic social teaching, and the goals of Laudato Si’ are all intertwined.
After Mass it is hoped that we will be able to have a short activity, eg. sharing what we learned and did during the past week with that week’s theme; exploring ways of praying with creation, eg, Laudato Si’ chaplet, Ecological examen. We may have a tree planting one week.
