Season of Creation 2021: Setting Up Abraham’s Tent

This webinar serves as Living Laudato Si’ Philippines’ (LLS) salutation to the forthcoming Season of Creation (Sept. 1 to Oct. 4). Representatives from the faith, government, and economics sectors will impart wisdom and ponder on the best practices to safeguard conditions for life, and create economic and political architectures that are rooted in the ecological limits of our common home. This is also an opportunity to share their respective systems on the life-giving ecological limits of our common home. Lastly, this webinar will introduce the events and/or activities LLS has planned to commemorate the five-week celebration.
The webinar will run resembling the steps in setting up a tent (Abraham’s tent is the logo of this year’s Season of Creation):
1. Set the tent’s foundation – Season of Creation 2021 theme presentation
2. Roll out the tent atop the foundation – Sectoral reflections
3. Connect the tent poles – Faith sector reflection and final reaction
4. Stake in the tent – Closing remarks
Speakers: Fr. Albert Alejo of Ateneo de Manila University will serve as the key speaker. To enrich the discussion, sectoral representatives will be seated on the panel as well: Gov. Carlos Padilla of Nueva Vizcaya for the government; and Ms. Xandra Bisenio of the IBON Foundation for economics.
