Our Season of Creation: Celebrating, Honoring, Remembering begins with our “home” grounds at the Catholic Diocese of Lexington, KY. Celebrating: There will be a gathering of Bishop Stowe, staff & grounds crew and all who can attend at 1:00pm. A chestnut tree will be planted under the “Tent of Abraham” with the significance of the comeback of chestnut trees across the US which were wiped out by blight as emphasis. An outside reception is planned. Honoring: the Grounds crew with receive a Green award for their efforts to keep our beautiful grounds healthy. Remembering: the Chestnut tree will be dedicated to the memory of Fr. John Rausch, Glenmary, Eastern Kentucky Advocate and First Laudato Si Commission Chair.
